Scenes of awe-inspiring grand landscapes are one of my favorite things to capture. As beautiful as they are to the eye, they can often prove difficult to translate to a two-dimensional image with the same kind of impact. I love the challenge of composing an image that captures these vast scenes in a way that draws the eye in, that hopefully conveys the sense of being there in person. From wide-angle shots with a strong foreground to scenes taken with a telephoto lens, these images showcase some of the most memorable vistas I've experienced around our country.
